Terms and Conditions of Yandles Handmade Markets

Please read the following general terms & conditions carefully



No bookings will be confirmed without seeing the nature of your products in advance. This is to ensure that your products are suitable for our event, and to also prevent over booking of similar products/stalls. Stallholders who have previously held pitches are required to send 1 refresher image. Please do not assume that due to exhibiting previously that you will be guaranteed a pitch. However, it is essential that all products are handcrafted and are not bought in.

Please send 2-5 images and any logos of your work/business regardless of having attended before. These can be used to help advertise the event. Please send to beth@yandles.co.uk.

Confirmation of application acceptance/regret will be confirmed after Christmas. Booking will then be confirmed with proof of insurance/food hygiene certificates etc. and full payment. Please make cheques made payable to Yandles and Sons Ltd. or pop in and see us or we can take payment over the phone if you are happy to do so.

Pitch cost: £15.00 per market
Pitch size:  Approximately 11 x 11ft suitable for 1 x 10ft gazebo.

A 6ft x 2ft Tables and 2 x chairs are available to hire at a charge of £10 per market, this is to be requested upon booking.

Gazebos are available on a first come fist served basis at a hire rate of £10 per gazebo per market.

Special requirements such as access to power sockets, additional space, disabled parking etc. are to be requested clearly in your application. Provision cannot be guaranteed but will be provided where available on a first come first serve basis.


  • All exhibitors/demonstrators must clearly display their names and trading address on their stand.
  • All Exhibitors selling food items must provide a current food hygiene certificate with their booking.



All stall holders must have their own product/public liability insurance, to trade.  A copy is requested to be sent when booking, along with bringing a copy with you on the day, failure to do so may result in you being unable to attend the market. It is the personal responsibility of the stall holder to ensure legal and safe trading at all times. Yandles and Sons Ltd accepts no responsibility of any injury or damage caused by stallholders, products and stands. 

Furthermore, Yandles and Sons Ltd accepts no responsibility for damage to or theft of stock/property/vehicles whilst attending Yandles Markets.


Stallholders and/or their helpers must conduct themselves in an orderly manner. Obscene language, abusive or anti-social behaviour whilst onsite, by stallholders or anyone associated with that person, may result in being asked to leave the event.

Any abusive behaviour either verbal or written, toward Yandles and Sons Ltd staff, will not be tolerated and will result in instant dismissal from the event.

All Children attending the event with stall holders under the age of 14 years must be supervised by an adult during trading hours.


There will be strictly no admittance to the venue before the stated set-up time (confirmed upon booking). This is for our insurance, along with allowing our team to ensure a smooth set up of the event.

Allocation of pitch spaces are carefully decided prior to the event by the organiser, under no circumstances should there be any request to move pitches on the day of the event. All special requirements are to be made in advance upon filling the application.

  • Arrival time for pitch set up will be from 7:30am – gates will not be open to stall holders before this time, please do not arrive prior to this time
  • Please arrive at the correct specified entrance (confirmed 2 weeks prior to the event)
  • Please unload your vehicle as quickly as possible and then park in designated area, this is to ensure no blocked right of way for other exhibitors
  • Do not move your position, this has been set out to provide entry and exit spaces for exhibitors to access their pitches and to provides as much room as possible for visitors to make their way around
  • Pitches are to be fully set up prior to the event opening time (10am)
  • All tables are to be covered and well presented
  • You may display your stock in any way you choose, but please ensure all display racks/shelves, lighting/ signs are stable and secure and will not cause any hazard or obstruction to other sellers or the public.
  • Stalls must not be dismantled until the advertised end time of the event (4pm)
  • Please again ensure packing stock into vehicles is done efficiently to minimise disruption to others


As with any event we cannot guarantee visitor numbers, but we will do our utmost to ensure that you have a successful market. However bad weather, interruption of power or other services are out of our control. With continued web presence, radio and consistent local advertising, we hope 2018 will prove to be successful year for all involved with our shows.                                           


 Traders are liable to pay for all market dates booked, should a trader wish to withdraw a confirmed application for any reason they must give more than 15 days’ notice. There will be a cancellation/administration fee of 25% of the total site fee. Failure to turn up to the event without giving 15 days’ notice will result in a total loss of refundable payment.


Yandles and Son Ltd will put in place all reasonable plans to ensure that the Handmade Market goes ahead as advertised. However, we cannot be held responsible for incidents outside of our control which lead to a change in, or cancellation of the market. In the unlikely event of the market being cancelled or the pitch area being unavailable owing to circumstances beyond our control, we will endeavour to arrange another date soon or arrange a full refund of costs accrued.


 Yandles and Sons Ltd reserves the right to amend these terms and conditions at any time and without prior notice. Booking a pitch with us constitutes your acceptance of our terms and conditions.

Please can you also email any product images, business write ups or other promotional material we can use to help advertise your craft such as links to youtube videos etc. to beth@yandles.co.uk to be forwarded to our marketing executive. If you have exhibited previously please just send one image as a refresher.
